Veggie Fricassee Just a hint of nutmeg makes these savory creamed vegetables out of the ordinary.
In a large sauté pan heat the butter. Add the garlic and mushrooms and sauté until the mushrooms begin to render their water, about 4-5 minutes Add remaining veggies and bay leaf and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Add the flour and seasonings and stir until completely combined. Add the half and half and stir until thickened and heated through. Serve on rice or biscuits |
