Rice with Peas and Almonds

This delicious side dish becomes to-die-for if you substitute Basmati rice for regular white rice.

1 cup white rice, cooked and allowed to cool
1 10 ounce package frozen green peas (no sauce), defrosted
cup slivered almonds, toasted
1 cup chopped onion
teaspoon thyme
teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon curry powder
4 Tablespoons margarine or butter

Melt the butter, add the spices and onion saut until the onion is tender. Add the peas, toss with the onion and cook, stirring often, for about 5 minutes. Add the rice and almonds and toss until heated through.
