Curried Shrimp Spread

Sometimes you find great stuff in weird places.  This recipe has been modified, including the brilliant idea by my dear wife to add curry powder, but originally it appeared in a small booklet of recipes that came with an ancient food processor.  This will work just as well with any shellfish you wish to substitute.  Crabmeat is especially good. 

4 ounce package    cream cheese or Neufchatel cheese, softened
¼ pound    small, shelled, cooked shrimp
2 tablespoons    mayonnaise
1 tablespoon    fresh lemon juice
¼ teaspoon    dried dill weed
1 teaspoon    curry powder

Place all ingredients in a food processor equipped with metal blade and process on low speed until mixture is smooth.  Refrigerate until completely chilled.  Serve with crackers or cut veggies.
